Cacá Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gildo Sá went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 8 minutes into the game, Gildo Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mestre GG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ the free kick. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mestre GG's Oswaldo Dracena got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Sergipano in the 22nd minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cacá Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Diego Armando Orange in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 29th minute Chiquinho Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mestre GG defense, Diego Armando Orange kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raúl de Amaral. The Mestre GG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raúl de Amaral should have stopped the shot. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Chiquinho Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cacá Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dé Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Cacá Sousa made a huge save. 44 minutes into the game, Fiori Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cacá Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chiquinho Sergipano made a kick off. Cacá Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Paiva in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Dé Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Queirós during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Francisco Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mestre GG's Raúl de Amaral got control of the ball when Dito Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Chiquinho Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mestre GG's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gildo Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dé Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Armando Orange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl de Amaral having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Dito Rezende ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raúl de Amaral. Raúl de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 96th minute, Chiquinho Sergipano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mestre GG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mestre GG had won after a very even match.
