SC Pfullendorf's Kıvanç Yücesan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Salamon in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s goalkeeper Silvio Millan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Argyris Zagorakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kıvanç Yücesan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Sazon in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Argyris Zagorakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaias Sazon took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kıvanç Yücesan. Kıvanç Yücesan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After having played for 46 minutes, Argyris Zagorakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pfullendorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Argyris Zagorakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kıvanç Yücesan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Sazon, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The SC Pfullendorf players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴ were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaias Sazon made a kick off.
