ACF Fiorentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Cabezon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wawrzyniec Charamut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Gheară might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Kalinowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Gheară ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute Maximino Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Charamut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Federico Kalinowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wawrzyniec Charamut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Cabezon, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ACF Fiorentina walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
