AC LeX Luthor's attentive Mario Yepes managed to snatch the ball when Marcelino Chaime made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. After 41 minutes of play, AC LeX Luthor's Zeledon Savion made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Joey was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half AC LeX Luthor were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santiago Mino to strike the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 51 in the game by Isidro Oliviero from a close distance when the talented Alfredo Joey managed to make a qualified save. Palermo's players were relieved. 55 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Gonzalez came free, but Fulgencio Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Isidro Oliviero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC LeX Luthor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Oliviero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palermo! Alfredo Joey made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Zeledon Savion sent off a good shot on target. After 61 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Carles Borg. AC LeX Luthor made a substitution. Peep Pronk replaced Alvaro Errando. In the 63rd match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carles Borg to maneuver through the defense. Fulgencio Eyague stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelino Chaime's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Pedro Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC LeX Luthor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Mino took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulgencio Eyague. Fulgencio Eyague dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 72ndth minute of the game Peep Pronk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palermo's Alfredo Joey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Joey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peep Pronk's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Fulgencio Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Medina in the 79th minute of the match. Isaias Grove made in the 85th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marcelino Chaime. With a little luck, Palermo's Alfredo Joey got control of the ball when Peep Pronk tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peep Pronk in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Joey saved Palermo from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Peep Pronk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredo Joey. That made the score 2-3 in the 90 minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Glowacki to maneuver through the defense. Peep Pronk took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Joey. Alfredo Joey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4.
