When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Fernando Noguera put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sebastian Hellkvist. Jardel Van Landschoot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Hellkvist having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Lorenzo Acutain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florencio Osasun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 26th minute. Florencio Osasun made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Jörn Svartengren sent off a good shot on target. Jörn Svartengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Csanád Kiss during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 47 played minutes El coca fc got a freekick which was hit by Csanád Kiss. Salvador Musacchio, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Noguera to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Claudio Noguera sped through Inter de Guayaquil FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastian Hellkvist. 60 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Noguera came free, but Sebastian Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florencio Osasun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72ndth minute of the game Éric Cantona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El coca fc's Florencio Osasun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Éric Cantona came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Inter de Guayaquil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Éric Cantona couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Hellkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yakiv Revut. Claudio Noguera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Hellkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Sebastian Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Noguera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Éric Cantona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florencio Osasun having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El coca fc walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
