Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luke Van de kauter to make the kick off. Luke Van de kauter might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fábio Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luke Van de kauter ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Van de kauter in the 51st minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Van de kauter came free, but Luiz Fábio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
