After a rather tough play, Maritza's Zoltán Hubina got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Maritza's goalkeeper Danail Mitzakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Schjelderup. Andreas Hansen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Nikolkov in the 7th minute of play. FC Nordsjælland's Andreas Hansen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miladin Bikarski in the 11th minute of play. Andreas Hansen came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Maritza's Zoltán Hubina. But to his dismay, Zoltán Hubina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Danail Mitzakov had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Yulian Kichukov's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Zeng Jing Yue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Nordsjælland's Andreas Hansen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nencho Markovski kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, one of Maritza:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maritza. Danail Mitzakov had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Yulian Kichukov's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 1-1 came in the 27th minute when Yulian Kichukov all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Danail Mitzakov. Andreas Hansen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeng Jing Yue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andreas Hansen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zoltán Hubina's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Zeng Jing Yue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Hansen having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andreas Schjelderup made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Maritza's zone, Sindre Walle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danail Mitzakov came out of the goal and Sindre Walle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Nordsjælland booed when Maritza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Nikolkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Maritza's goal looked a bit too open when Yulian Kichukov came free, but Danail Mitzakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Sindre Walle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Maritza's Zoltán Hubina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andreas Hansen. Andreas Hansen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2.
