The coaching staff of LA InDuStRiA INC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Celso Bartoli had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 6th minute, one of LA InDuStRiA INC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LA InDuStRiA INC. LA InDuStRiA INC made a substitution. Benigno Gaxan replaced Isidro Orlin. In the 18th match minute, 25 de Abril Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Txilar to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Moises Tello put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Raimundo Obano. 26 minutes into the match, Moises Tello notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of LA InDuStRiA INC's Raimundo Obano. Raimundo Obano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zeledon Sendoa's late challenge caught a LA InDuStRiA INC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Benito Kimetz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elpidio Beat. That made the score 1-2 in the 34 minute of play. If Elvio Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LA InDuStRiA INC's Elvio Mendez got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, 25 de Abril Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Oliviero to maneuver through the defense. The LA InDuStRiA INC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 25 de Abril Futbol Club were winning 1-2.

Moises Tello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elvio Mendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Leon Fresco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LA InDuStRiA INC's Raimundo Obano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save LA InDuStRiA INC from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA InDuStRiA INC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Severiano Oliviero was slow to take the kick. During this time 25 de Abril Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. Elpidio Beat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Leoncio in the 69th minute of the match. When Miguel Urtungo fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 25 de Abril Futbol Club's protests and gave Miguel Urtungo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LA InDuStRiA INC booed when 25 de Abril Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Urtungo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes 25 de Abril Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Urtungo. LA InDuStRiA INC's Haroldo Filipo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute Tomás Leoncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Beat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Beat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute of the match LA InDuStRiA INC got a corner. 25 de Abril Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elvio Mendez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Elvio Mendez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elpidio Beat quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. LA InDuStRiA INC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elvio Mendez in the 85th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Haroldo Filipo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 86 minutes, Haroldo Filipo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA InDuStRiA INC and the 25 de Abril Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of 25 de Abril Futbol Club booed when LA InDuStRiA INC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Filipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Ricardo Rencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The LA InDuStRiA INC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing 25 de Abril Futbol Club to win.
