Isidro Christobal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Gustafsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Isaac Gustafsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isidro Christobal having to make a save. In the 15th minute Isaac Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Gustafsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camillo Tarantini's late challenge caught a CAI NEUQUEN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camillo Tarantini helped the player get up and apologised. Camillo Tarantini kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Isidro Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Gustafsson in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's Isaac Gustafsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidro Christobal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isaac Gustafsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidro Christobal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Isaac Gustafsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Christobal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Balesio in the 32nd minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Ermegildo Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Isaac Gustafsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Isidro Christobal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isidro Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miodrag Belo in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Gustafsson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidro Christobal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, DEPORTIVO SJ's Camillo Tarantini got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Miodrag Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Unax's late challenge caught a DEPORTIVO SJ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Unax helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Filiberto Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. DEPORTIVO SJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermegildo Horado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miodrag Belo might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Christobal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miodrag Belo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute of the match CAI NEUQUEN got a corner. DEPORTIVO SJ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raul Heriberto ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, DEPORTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal got control of the ball when Isaac Gustafsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Isaac Gustafsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidro Christobal was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. With a little luck, DEPORTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal got control of the ball when Isaac Gustafsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, CAI NEUQUEN's Isaac Gustafsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Herminio Izotz hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see CAI NEUQUEN's Dalmacio Rufio in action when he in the 87th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 95 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Isidro Christobal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaac Gustafsson. When the match was over CAI NEUQUEN could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DEPORTIVO SJ throughout the match.
