If Marin Nikolkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Maritza's Danail Mitzakov got control of the ball when Bogdan Mangúrov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dietbald Ströbele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeng Jing Yue, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ed 冯义升 got free with Danail Mitzakov in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute Eusebius Smolarek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danail Mitzakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dietbald Ströbele was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 31st minute, Zeng Jing Yue got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bogomil Gúrbuzanov kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Manchester United FC's Danail Mitzakov threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eusebius Smolarek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dietbald Ströbele was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Maritza could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manchester United FC throughout the match.
