Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Burkhard Böck 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Stefano to make the kick off. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Stefano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
