With a little luck, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor got control of the ball when Aníbal Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Nilmar de Moraes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Melquiades Amor, 1-0. Aníbal Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Amor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes in the game, David Lima fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Melquiades Amor having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Nilmar de Moraes got a free kick in the 14th minute. Melquiades Amor was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tarcisio Couto. Valério Queirós lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Valério Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Melquiades Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Graack, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA booed when Clube Atl. Taquaritinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philippe Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th play minute Nilmar de Moraes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Melquiades Amor. 2-0. Philippe Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Melquiades Amor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Lima's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Melquiades Amor made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when David Lima sent off a good shot on target. Melquiades Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Sá in the 46th minute of play. If David Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Aníbal Sá's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Amor was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Lima in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Amor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Aníbal Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tarcisio Couto was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's David Lima getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 71 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar de Moraes came free, but Melquiades Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Aníbal Sá in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Taquaritinga's corner Tarcisio Couto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Melquiades Amor quite easily take care of the ball. Aníbal Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Melquiades Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wágner Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute David Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Atl. Taquaritinga from getting a goal against them.
