Mathias Varela hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Andrade in the 5th minute of play. Anselmo Fantini came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sandro Tepedino could save by the left post. 9 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Ramalho came free, but Sandro Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Que se abra o mar's Ivar Eriksson in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Ivar Eriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Sandro Tepedino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 29 minutes Que se abra o mar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Eduardo Veiga who took care of the corner kick. In the 32nd minute of the game Carlos Eduardo Veiga made a throw-in which Ernesto Berger played forward. When Que se abra o mar's Lando Norin in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. If Lando Norin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manoel de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Sydney Ramalho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Carlos Eduardo Veiga hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Silvinho da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 46 minutes, Sydney Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aesir FC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivar Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Luiz Eduardo Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Aesir FC FSCMZ's zone, Ivar Eriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Galvão came out of the goal and Ivar Eriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandro Tepedino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo de Brito in the 58th minute of the match. Sandro Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Aesir FC FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Eduardo Veiga in the 63rd minute. Lando Norin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Berger came free, but Sandro Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivar Eriksson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Luiz Eduardo Galvão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Ivar Eriksson could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Luiz Eduardo Galvão however easily saved by the left post. Lionel Mesías could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a huge save. Que se abra o mar's Albertinho Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivar Eriksson in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Galvão saved Aesir FC FSCMZ from getting behind. In the 81st minute Dalmo de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertinho Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a huge save.
