Márcio Nóbrega was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 詹俊 á Bø showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as 詹俊 á Bø kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Márcio Nóbrega. That made the score 3-0 in the 14 minute of play. Teofilo Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that 詹俊 á Bø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Márcio Nóbrega was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 24thth minute of the game 詹俊 á Bø who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaratimon's Márcio Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Márcio Nóbrega came out and tried to block the shot, but 詹俊 á Bø slotted it home off the left post making it 8-0 in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute, Fabinho Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Pernambucano to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, 詹俊 á Bø had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Márcio Nóbrega. Guaratimon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 詹俊 á Bø was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. In the 53rd match minute, Guaratimon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Guaratimon's Artur Rocha got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's Jaume Roure sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Márcio Nóbrega narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 詹俊 á Bø might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Márcio Nóbrega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 詹俊 á Bø ran back to his position shaking his head. But to his dismay, 詹俊 á Bø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guaratimon! The Wellington Phoenix fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Wellington Phoenix's 詹俊 á Bø looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 15-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 79th minute, 詹俊 á Bø got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Wellington Phoenix's Tadeu Zonta got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Guaratimon defense, 詹俊 á Bø kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio Nóbrega. The Guaratimon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio Nóbrega should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 96th minute of play forced Guaratimon's goalkeeper Márcio Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Márcio Nóbrega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 詹俊 á Bø went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 17-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Wellington Phoenix players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
