The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Cole in the 9th minute of play forced Becos e Vielas FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Floresta Negra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerzy Zjawin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fabiano Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Jerzy Zjawin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Becos e Vielas FC's Luís Fabiano Meireles. Luís Fabiano Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Agüero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Reynaldo Rossi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. After 95 played minutes Becos e Vielas FC got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Rossi.
