Andrei Cerbu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Koenig in the 10th minute of play. Roman Koenig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Andrei Cerbu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aykut Canel in the 16th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Andrei Cerbu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Haakon Taankvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Campos hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Renan Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Andrade in the 27th minute of play. If Aykut Canel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Renan Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Aykut Canel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Cerbu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Andrade in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aykut Canel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrei Cerbu was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. After 42 minutes A.A. Francana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valdemar da Cunha who took care of the corner kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

GLADIADORES's Juan do Vale was substituted for Sérgio Donato. GLADIADORES's Tales Toledo was substituted for Marcelinho Peres. Andrei Cerbu made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Aykut Canel sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Andrade in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Melo saved A.A. Francana from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Dito de Carvalho came free, but Renan Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Andrade took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renan Melo. Renan Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When GLADIADORES's Dito de Carvalho in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.A. Francana's goalie prevented a goal. Joel Campos's late challenge caught a GLADIADORES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Campos helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Wilson Andrade got in the 67th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Renan Melo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. GLADIADORES's Andrei Cerbu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save GLADIADORES from getting a goal against them. Andrei Cerbu made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Roman Koenig sent off a good shot on target. Renan Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito de Carvalho in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match GLADIADORES got a corner. A.A. Francana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valdemar da Cunha ran over to the corner to take the kick. GLADIADORES's Valdemar da Cunha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Renan Melo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 83rd minute, Johannes Stein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renan Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan do Vale in the 86th minute of the match. After 87 minutes A.A. Francana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valdemar da Cunha who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar da Cunha in the 89th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Wilson Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. GLADIADORES's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A.A. Francana's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
