After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Bernt Jønsson got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Régis de Queirós saved Palmeiras from getting behind. Antônio Carlos Buenos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Régis de Queirós to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Régis de Queirós was a little too slow when Marcos Paulista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 2-0. Antônio Carlos Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When AF CERRADO's Murilo Lucas in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmeiras's goalie prevented a goal. Felix Smits kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Paulista in the 32nd minute of play. Antônio Carlos Bueno did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Régis de Queirós 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Jønsson in the 37th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Jønsson in the 37th minute of the match. If Bernt Jønsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tarcisio Reis scored 4-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arlindo Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Régis de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Paulista in the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Passos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Guedes. AF CERRADO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fabiano Passos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Bernt Jønsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Arlindo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcisio Reis in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kléberson Neiva hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Marcos Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The corner ended in Tarcisio Reis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes did a great save. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Jønsson in the 88th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Palmeiras's Arlindo Guedes threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernt Jønsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st minute Palmeiras were awarded a corner. Tarcisio Reis went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Gusmão Bettencourt heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 93 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tarcisio Reis. Arlindo Guedes was a little too slow when Bernt Jønsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 4-3.
