Nonatos United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri in the 23rd minute. Palmeiras's Tarcisio Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iustin Bungeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Angelo Cefero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nonatos United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Iustin Bungeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute Iustin Bungeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Régis de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Cefero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Nonatos United's corner Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Régis de Queirós quite easily take care of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustin Bungeanu was the one to do the kick off. Rony Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bungeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Nonatos United's Angelo Cefero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Régis de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis de Queirós having to interfere. Nonatos United's Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Cefero in the 62nd minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustin Bungeanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Téo da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Régis de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Nonatos United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
