In the 2nd match minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Eduardo Galvão came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Nonatos United's Angelo Cefero. But to his dismay, Angelo Cefero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Cefero in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Angelo Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Cefero in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute of the match Nonatos United got a corner. Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elivélton Jacinto thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Luiz Eduardo Galvão, a very annoying self made goal in the 13th minute which led to 0-2. In the 18th minute Angelo Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Nonatos United's Angelo Cefero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Eduardo Galvão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rony Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Nonatos United's Augusto Dias got a free kick in the 27th minute. Reynaldo Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rony Zanette made a huge save. When Angelo Cefero came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Nonatos United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Cefero couldn't finish the play. Nonatos United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri in the 42nd minute. The corner led Nonatos United's Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri to fire away a dangerous shot which Luiz Eduardo Galvão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Monteiro made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Jairo Zonta got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 61st minute, Ernesto Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Zanette having to interfere.
