After 9 minutes of play, Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelinho Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Roceira SC's zone, Fausto Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho Barral came out of the goal and Fausto Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Fausto Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hulk Speed in the 21st minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Roceira SC's Guto Jorge got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Marcelinho Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Scarlet Speedster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Krzynowek in the 27th minute. In the 46th minute, Fausto Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelinho Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Scarlet Speedster's João Severino was substituted for Váldson Bittencourt.
