After taking down the ball on ADM Taquaras's corner Cido Cabral fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Truman Harrington quite easily take care of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Truman Harrington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Eugen came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tales De Mileto charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales De Mileto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of PALMEIRAS-UTAH booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales De Mileto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Truman Harrington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lima in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 minutes ADM Taquaras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reyes Boyle who took care of the corner kick. In the 40th minute PALMEIRAS-UTAH were awarded a corner. Reyes Boyle went to the cornerflag to take it. Truman Harrington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radowit Dziuma in the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandru Eugen made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Truman Harrington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute of the match ADM Taquaras got a corner. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Áron Bódog ran over to the corner to take the kick. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Truman Harrington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save PALMEIRAS-UTAH from getting a goal against them. Oliver Bierhoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 58 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Truman Harrington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Truman Harrington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by PALMEIRAS-UTAH's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. ADM Taquaras's Herberto Ribas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Truman Harrington in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in PALMEIRAS-UTAH's zone, Oliver Bierhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Truman Harrington came out of the goal and Oliver Bierhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to PALMEIRAS-UTAH getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Charlton Livingston hit a great ball. ADM Taquaras made a substitution. Cléber Palmeira replaced Cido Cabral. The supporters of ADM Taquaras booed when PALMEIRAS-UTAH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlton Livingston didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Oliver Bierhoff kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Truman Harrington. That made the score 0-2 in the 75 minute of play. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Jorge Pirani got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Truman Harrington didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Bierhoff went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 89th minute, Aloísio Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Truman Harrington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save PALMEIRAS-UTAH from getting a goal against them. Áron Bódog's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Truman Harrington firmly grabbed it by the left post. The ADM Taquaras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ADM Taquaras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
