In the 11th minute Eliseu Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match Al-Fajuth got a corner. Brasiliense FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maicon Zanette ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Maicon Zanette almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brasiliense FC's Wágner Seco did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 27th minute of play forced Brasiliense FC's goalkeeper Wágner Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Amaral. After 34 minutes, Eliseu Alagoano made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Brasiliense FC's Wágner Seco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Brasiliense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Dionísio came free, but Wágner Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wágner Seco came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano. But to his dismay, Eliseu Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Eliseu Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Seco having to interfere. After the first half Al-Fajuth were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Célio Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Al-Fajuth's protests and gave Célio Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Célio Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Eliseu Alagoano made a precise shot to the right of Wágner Seco. Brasiliense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Amaral in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wágner Seco. Wágner Seco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Al-Fajuth eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
