A collision led to Red Chicken Football getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Rômulo Félix hit a great ball. In the 11th minute ADM Taquaras were awarded a corner. Cido Cabral went to the cornerflag to take it. ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimcho Chernokolev in the 13th minute of play. Jeremias Moreno made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Cris Fenomeno sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 24th minute of play forced Red Chicken Football's goalkeeper Diego Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Red Chicken Football's Didi Saraiva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremias Moreno. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Diego Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 29th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Oliver Bierhoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ADM Taquaras made a substitution. Áron Bódog replaced Wágner Leme. Jeremias Moreno made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Cris Fenomeno sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Bierhoff in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Alves saved Red Chicken Football from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Áron Bódog could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Diego Alves made a huge save. Red Chicken Football's Diego Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Red Chicken Football from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Red Chicken Football's Diego Alves got control of the ball when Áron Bódog tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimcho Chernokolev hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match, Oliver Bierhoff tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Diego Alves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. ADM Taquaras made a substitution. Cléber Palmeira replaced Cido Cabral. If Áron Bódog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Hori Inclan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Chicken Football and the ADM Taquaras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hori Inclan hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Diego Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Áron Bódog in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Red Chicken Football getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Dimcho Chernokolev hit a great ball. Dimcho Chernokolev kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Red Chicken Football booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herberto Ribas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kidlat Bengali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Cris Fenomeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
