The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Capivara FC booed when Pecém was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Austin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Zhang Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xie Shu Tian came free, but Péter Pálffy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manoel Garrincha in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xie Shu Tian in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Péter Pálffy saved Capivara FC from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Neycho Mudrov came free, but Denílson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Péter Pálffy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xie Shu Tian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Nicuşor Nebunu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Pálffy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Pecém got a freekick which was hit by Ibon Obeso. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xie Shu Tian to make the kick off. Capivara FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Xie Shu Tian scored to the left of an out of position Péter Pálffy, making the score, 0-1. In the 58th minute, Nicuşor Nebunu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Doriva Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Stigsson. Denílson Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Tavares in the 67th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Capivara FC's corner Doriva Tavares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Denílson Leão quite easily take care of the ball. Pecém's Denílson Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Tavares in the 75th minute of play. Denílson Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhang Chen in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Neycho Mudrov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denílson Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.
