Vinícius Junior took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denílson Leão. Denílson Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Neycho Mudrov came free, but Denílson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Doriva Tavares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capivara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Capivara FC's Péter Pálffy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xie Shu Tian in the 23rd minute of play. Denílson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhang Chen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xie Shu Tian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Péter Pálffy came out and tried to block the shot, but Xie Shu Tian slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Junior came free, but Denílson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Junior in the 35th minute of the match. Péter Pálffy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xie Shu Tian in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Capivara FC booed when Pecém was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Pecém's Denílson Leão got control of the ball when Doriva Tavares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denílson Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neycho Mudrov, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Neycho Mudrov struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Denílson Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capivara FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doriva Tavares got free with Denílson Leão in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Neycho Mudrov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denílson Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neycho Mudrov in the 75th minute of play forced Pecém's goalkeeper Denílson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xie Shu Tian in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Péter Pálffy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denílson Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doriva Tavares in the 79th minute. Neycho Mudrov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Denílson Leão came out and tried to block the shot, but Neycho Mudrov slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 83rd minute. Neycho Mudrov kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Pecém's Xie Shu Tian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Péter Pálffy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Denílson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Garrincha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 minutes Capivara FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ibon Obeso who took care of the corner kick. Malcolm Blue tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Péter Pálffy. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-4 in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Capivara FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
