The corner went over the outstretched arms of Capivara FC's goalie and right to Amílton Loyola. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Capivara FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Vinícius Junior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Vânderson Saa made a huge save. When Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Capivara FC's goalie prevented a goal. Vânderson Saa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doriva Tavares in the 26th minute. Vânderson Saa made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Vinícius Junior sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Junior got free with Vânderson Saa in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Dolar in the 33rd minute of play forced Capivara FC's goalkeeper Péter Pálffy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Dolar in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Péter Pálffy saved Capivara FC from getting behind. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Capivara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Lanckneus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radul Kokalov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Péter Pálffy. Capivara FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Jorge Carrascal replaced Celsinho Corrêa. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dale Dolar to make the kick off. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Vânderson Saa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Tavares in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Junior came free, but Vânderson Saa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capivara FC's Manoel Garrincha got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute Doriva Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Saa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Neycho Mudrov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vânderson Saa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Capivara FC's Péter Pálffy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Dolar in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Péter Pálffy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vânderson Saa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manoel Garrincha in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Dale Dolar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Péter Pálffy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Arí Paraibano was substituted for Eliézer de Carvalho. After 75 minutes Capivara FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arí Paraibano who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Arí Paraibano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Péter Pálffy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. It was a well-played corner which Ragnar Stigsson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Joaquim Xavier got a throw-in 82 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dominik Lanckneus. Neycho Mudrov struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Vânderson Saa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capivara FC. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Vânderson Saa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Lanckneus in the 90th minute of play. Malcolm Blue made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Neycho Mudrov. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barcellos Mineiro FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
