Michel Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, German Cano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michel Čech. German Cano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by McDonald Hamburger in the 19th minute of play. After 21 minutes Marquês de Herval's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kauã Nascimento who took care of the corner kick. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Dinei Tinoco quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valentin Vizitiu, made in the 24th minute of the game. Dida Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from McDonald Hamburger went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Doriva Vaz got a free kick in the 31st minute. Marquês de Herval's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Luís da Rocha in the 34th minute. The corner ended in Pedro Luís da Rocha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Michel Čech did a great save. With a little luck, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Michel Čech got control of the ball when German Cano tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Martins was the one to do the kick off. In the 88th minute, Anderson Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luís da Rocha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Marquês de Herval's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
