In the 3rdth minute of the game Witalis Brysz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batalhão do Peçanha's Petr Čech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 4th minute Pranas Užkuraitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poetass FC's Moisés Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 9th minute of play. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeng Xu Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Baptista came free, but Moisés Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witalis Brysz in the 19th minute of play. When Poetass FC's Witalis Brysz, in the 20th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Poetass FC. In the 23rd minute of the game Luiz Fernando de Lara made a throw-in which Váldson Miranda played forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pranas Užkuraitis in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moisés Arruda saved Poetass FC from getting behind. Pranas Užkuraitis scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moisés Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pranas Užkuraitis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Petr Čech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kalle Billberg. In the 46th match minute, Poetass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Heidemann to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pranas Užkuraitis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeng Xu Yuan in the 50th minute of play forced Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pranas Užkuraitis in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's Pranas Užkuraitis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moisés Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Epaminondas Baba's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Moisés Arruda firmly grabbed it by the left post. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witalis Brysz in the 65th minute of the match. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeng Xu Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th match minute, Poetass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Heidemann to maneuver through the defense. Moisés Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pranas Užkuraitis in the 70th minute of play. Nagoi De la Torre's late challenge caught a Batalhão do Peçanha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nagoi De la Torre helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Batalhão do Peçanha booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Heidemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Poetass FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Batalhão do Peçanha's performance. The match ended with a win for Batalhão do Peçanha.
