Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zé Pedro Baptista started the match with the kick off. Clemente Zanussi kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Zé Pedro Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinei Marquez made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Clemente Zanussi immediately put the ball in play. Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Baptista in the 11th minute of play. Batalhão do Peçanha's Epaminondas Baba managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Claudinei Marquez in the 15 minute of the game. Juvenal Sergipano came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Batalhão do Peçanha's Zé Pedro Baptista. But to his dismay, Zé Pedro Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Zé Pedro Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Marquez hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Zé Pedro Baptista took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juvenal Sergipano. Juvenal Sergipano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 28th play minute Zé Pedro Baptista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Juvenal Sergipano. 4-0. In the 31st minute Zé Pedro Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epaminondas Baba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Sergipano having to interfere. After some careless play in the CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE defense, Zé Pedro Baptista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juvenal Sergipano. The CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juvenal Sergipano should have stopped the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Baptista notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano. Juvenal Sergipano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th match minute, Batalhão do Peçanha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stéphane Ballon to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Fontes was the one to do the kick off. After 60 minutes, Zé Pedro Baptista made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Célio Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Célio Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petr Čech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Pedro Baptista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. When Zé Pedro Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Batalhão do Peçanha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Baptista couldn't finish the play. Juvenal Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Pedro Baptista's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Johnson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Pedro Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Sergipano having to interfere. If Zé Pedro Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zé Pedro Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juvenal Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Pedro Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Pedro Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Zé Pedro Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Juvenal Sergipano. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Batalhão do Peçanha had played much better football throughout.
