The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lennart Khan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Donatello. In the 8thth minute of the game Mané Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Lara in the 14th minute of play. Juvenal Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mané Lara's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Joinville United - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lennart Khan took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Lennart Khan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juvenal Sergipano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 18 minutes of play, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Guilherme Joinvilense made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juvenal Sergipano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yang Hui Wen in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Froila came free, but Borys Gruchacz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Lara in the 29th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Lara in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Geovânio Galvão got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th match minute, Joinville United - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Otto to maneuver through the defense. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Pinchas Man quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lobo Zornoza, made in the 38th minute of the game. In the 39th minute Mané Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Karel Otto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Borys Gruchacz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Mané Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Sergipano having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mané Lara was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE defense, Yang Hui Wen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juvenal Sergipano. The CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juvenal Sergipano should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Mané Lara took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Juvenal Sergipano to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo de Lara in the 65th minute of play forced CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 67 in the game by Perivaldo de Lara from a close distance when the talented Juvenal Sergipano managed to make a qualified save. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's players were relieved. Borys Gruchacz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Fontes in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Perivaldo de Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville United - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 81st minute, Placido Fernado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lennart Khan struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Juvenal Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville United - FSCMZ. If Perivaldo de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Perivaldo de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Perivaldo de Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal Sergipano. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo de Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
