Batalhão do Peçanha's Epaminondas Baba managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Claudinei Marquez in the 53 minute of the game. In the 54th minute of the match, Zé Pedro Baptista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juvenal Sergipano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Juvenal Sergipano was a little too slow when Zé Pedro Baptista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-6. Zé Pedro Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juvenal Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE reached it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Batalhão do Peçanha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
