Silveira's Beto Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Silveira booed when Quiroga F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silveira's Beto Carvalho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Quiroga F.C.. In the 17th minute, Silveira's Joel Viana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dadá Massa. Dadá Massa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, Quiroga F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Viana came free, but Dadá Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A hard shot 30 in the game by Joel Viana from a close distance when the talented Dadá Massa managed to make a qualified save. Quiroga F.C.'s players were relieved. In the 31st minute, Joel Viana made a precise shot to the right of Dadá Massa. Quiroga F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to Quiroga F.C. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Figueiredo hit a great ball. A hard shot by Beto Carvalho from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Dadá Massa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edinho Terra during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Silveira's Dalmo Domingues was substituted for Dedé Linares. A collision led to Quiroga F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Edinho Terra hit a great ball. Joel Viana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dadá Massa came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Viana slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Viana to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Dalmo Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silveira's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dadá Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quiroga F.C.'s Dadá Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Viana in the 57th minute of play. If Joel Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Tony Marques in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Silveira's Chico Nascimento. 64 minutes into the match, Quiroga F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Viana came free, but Dadá Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Silveira's Beto Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dadá Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Joel Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amauri Veiga hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Viana in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dadá Massa saved Quiroga F.C. from getting behind. After 80th play minutes Joel Viana shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Dadá Massa and just under the crossbar into goal. After 86th play minutes Joel Viana shot 8-0, a short shot which went by Dadá Massa and just under the crossbar into goal. After 89 minutes of play, Silveira's Beto Carvalho made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dadá Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dalmo Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadá Massa having to interfere. Silveira walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
