Benedito Trigo made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Donalton Meneses sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlinhos de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafim Barros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thiago Dantas came out and tried to block the shot, but Serafim Barros slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 59th minute. Benedito Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donalton Meneses, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 62nd minute Donalton Meneses shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yu Yang Sang got free with Thiago Dantas in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Sagarana Clube's Éder Madureira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Dantas. That made the score 0-3 after 69 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sagarana Clube's zone, Filipe Meneses stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedito Trigo came out of the goal and Filipe Meneses tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sagarana Clube's Bruno Salles was substituted for Éder Madureira. Carlinhos de Salles hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match.
