The corner led to F.Salgado F.C.'s Evandro Porto getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Matt Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éder Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Éder Madureira in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matt Ryan saved F.Salgado F.C. from getting behind. Sagarana Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Serafim Barros in the 22nd minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Benedito Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the F.Salgado F.C. defense, Marco Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matt Ryan. The F.Salgado F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matt Ryan should have stopped the shot. Teodoro Moreno scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedito Trigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafim Barros was the one to do the kick off. Pitin Sánchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Benedito Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedito Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. F.Salgado F.C. were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Sagarana Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Robert Macaneață took the corner. Evandro Porto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 61 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's Marco Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matt Ryan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Moreno came free, but Benedito Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Marco Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Moreno came free, but Benedito Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sagarana Clube's Benedito Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Moreno in the 93rd minute of play. Matt Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Yang Sang in the 96th minute of play. The Sagarana Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sagarana Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
