Celso Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. SeleSantos FC's Wanderson Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arthur Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Leif Törnqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kepa Arrizabalaga was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The SeleSantos FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when SeleSantos FC's Leif Törnqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the game, Niilo Mikkola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Arthur Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Guedes in the 34th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SeleSantos FC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when SeleSantos FC's Niilo Mikkola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Pan De Wen hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arthur Guedes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SeleSantos FC booed when ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinei Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Casado might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kepa Arrizabalaga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacobo Casado ran back to his position shaking his head. Dinei Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Niilo Mikkola fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kepa Arrizabalaga, passed just outside the right post. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Ging Root was substituted for Xande Chaves. After 67 minutes, Daniel Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SeleSantos FC and the ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, SeleSantos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Dinei Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michel Klose went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. SeleSantos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paolo Maldini ran over to the corner to take the kick. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Klose in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded SeleSantos FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙.
