With a little luck, SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro got control of the ball when João Augusto Barral tried to sneak it across the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 4th minute when João Augusto Barral elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The SeleSantos FC fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when SeleSantos FC's Niilo Mikkola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 11 minutes into the game, João Augusto Barral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dinei Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Skull Sport F.C were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after SeleSantos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raimundo da Silveira took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niilo Mikkola in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Astrada saved Skull Sport F.C from getting behind. Dinei Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cui Xiang Zhen went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Dinei Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Augusto Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Niilo Mikkola made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Astrada. Skull Sport F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Robert Levandowsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Barral in the 31st minute of play. After 35 played minutes Skull Sport F.C got a freekick which was hit by Robert Levandowsky. Leif Törnqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leif Törnqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leif Törnqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Dinei Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Cui Xiang Zhen sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Cui Xiang Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Levandowsky. Cui Xiang Zhen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience was convinced that Cui Xiang Zhen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dinei Pinheiro was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. If Cui Xiang Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Astrada came out of the goal and Jacobo Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinei Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Levandowsky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Levandowsky in the 87th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Robert Levandowsky's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dinei Pinheiro was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
