José-Luis Chilavert was a little too slow when Emilio Coccolone got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Cabezon in the 23rd minute of play forced Barões F. C.'s goalkeeper Júlio Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, EoDu Uai Sôccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Meira to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute of the match, Luiz Fábio Souto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José-Luis Chilavert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
