In the 9th minute, Mohamed Basso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ludomil Ziomkowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Thomás Toscano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso da Cunha in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomás Toscano saved Capibaribe Stars from getting behind. Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Basso in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Cunha came free, but Thomás Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Liviu Terzian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Gaskon made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mohamed Basso. Ludomil Ziomkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Mohamed Basso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Ziomkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Mohamed Basso made the kick off in the second half. Thomás Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludomil Ziomkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hicham Al Azka in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Hicham Al Azka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ludomil Ziomkowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 68 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Basso came free, but Ludomil Ziomkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Hicham Al Azka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Ziomkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Toscano came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein. But to his dismay, Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Breno Torres was substituted for Afonso da Cunha. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Torres in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Breno Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Mohamed Basso got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Torres came free, but Thomás Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Basso in the 84th minute of play forced CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ludomil Ziomkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breno Torres in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomás Toscano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Mohamed Basso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Gustavo da Silva got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ludomil Ziomkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mohamed Basso. Capibaribe Stars's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
