A hard shot by Osvaldo Alvarenga from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Christophe Troxler's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 13th match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gu Sha Zhen to maneuver through the defense. Templars FC's André Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Álvarez in the 15th minute of play. André Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Álvarez in the 27th minute of play. Francileudo Faarø kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Evan Vancell was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Templars FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montevideo City Torque:s goal. The referee gave Montevideo City Torque a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ospetsu Villarmerin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Templars FC's André Courtois. 0-1. André Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Álvarez in the 39th minute of play. After 43 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Apelqvist. When Agustín Álvarez, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 44 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The André Courtois was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustín Álvarez to make the kick off. Reuben Meade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but André Courtois made a huge save. 54 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reuben Meade. Reuben Meade in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of André Courtois, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Márk Kovács struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Christophe Troxler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Templars FC. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montevideo City Torque had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
