With a little luck, Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio got control of the ball when Olli Fiedler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Nacional from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the match, Olli Fiedler notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio. Teodoro Peio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Nacional's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guaberto Bento was slow to take the kick. During this time Sportivo Luan Toro's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Fidencio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teodoro Peio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Teodoro Peio made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Olli Fiedler sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Olli Fiedler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Peio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Sportivo Luan Toro getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Olli Fiedler hit a great ball. Teodoro Peio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olli Fiedler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Olli Fiedler came free, but Teodoro Peio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Eliazar to maneuver through the defense. Sportivo Luan Toro made a substitution. Justino Roland replaced Alberto Fidencio. Sportivo Luan Toro's Ricardo Mendez was substituted for Jo Barone. In the 70th minute, Jacinto Eliazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Luan Toro's Martins Palermo got a free kick in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martins Palermo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Peio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Martins Palermo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Luan Toro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Serafin Theodore got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Baldomero Rodas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martins Palermo in the 85th minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Teodoro Peio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Martins Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Martins Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's Martins Palermo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Peio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teodoro Peio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martins Palermo's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
