With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Peio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helder Cadanes in the 16th minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Teodoro Peio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Fuentes charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Sabaneta FC booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kang Wei Yue didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Antonio Masciarelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Teodoro Peio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the game, Sabaneta FC's Helder Cadanes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Peio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rian Giggs was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Sabaneta FC's Helder Cadanes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teodoro Peio. That made the score 0-11 after 75 minutes of play. Teodoro Peio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petri Romuroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Helder Cadanes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Teodoro Peio made a huge save. Sabaneta FC played a much better game than Atlético Nacional and deserved their victory. The Atlético Nacional players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
