Despite this Nando Toscano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 13 minutes into the match, Enrique Abeijon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Naike Abalos, 1-0. After some careless play in the Escuadrón Mercenario defense, Arnaldo Colas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nando Toscano. The Escuadrón Mercenario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nando Toscano should have stopped the shot. Escuadrón Mercenario's Nando Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Colas in the 20th minute of play. Naike Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Messias in the 21st minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Escuadrón Mercenario fully deserved thier win.
