An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio de Andrade in the 17th minute of play forced Escuadrón Mercenario's goalkeeper Nando Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Nando Toscano made a huge save. In the 21st minute Estevon Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Rulli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geronimo Rulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estevon Abancens in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariel Vidal got free with Nando Toscano in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Internacional's Ariel Vidal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nando Toscano. Nando Toscano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Laércio de Andrade's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Nando Toscano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Laércio de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Internacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio de Andrade couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ariel Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nando Toscano came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Internacional's Laércio de Andrade. But to his dismay, Laércio de Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Escuadrón Mercenario's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ege Deniz was slow to take the kick. During this time Internacional's players had a chance to rest. Internacional's Ege Deniz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nando Toscano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 77 minutes into the match, Laércio de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nando Toscano. Escuadrón Mercenario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 81 minutes into the match, Escuadrón Mercenario's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio de Andrade came free, but Nando Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Internacional's Laércio de Andrade in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Escuadrón Mercenario's goalie prevented a goal. The Escuadrón Mercenario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nando Toscano should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes into the match, Escuadrón Mercenario's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio de Andrade came free, but Nando Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Estevon Abancens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geronimo Rulli was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, Internacional could leave the field as winners, despite Escuadrón Mercenario having more of the ball for most of the match.
