The corner led Deportivo Empate's Justo Mano to fire away a dangerous shot which Maurilio Duque despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piero Quispe in the 32nd minute of play forced Deportivo Empate's goalkeeper Kristoffer Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingmar Wiman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 35th playminute. Justo Mano's late challenge caught a Nova Soccer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
