The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necat Baysal in the 5th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Lipochσrion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nial Peyton came free, but Theagenis Giannou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luk Pieters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Theagenis Giannou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Kolopetinitsa's Panagiotis Kaliasis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theagenis Giannou was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute Panagiotis Kaliasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theagenis Giannou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Lipochσrion FC's Nikos Stavrou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Theagenis Giannou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Tsabis in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Panagiotis Kaliasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theagenis Giannou was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Güralp Uğurtan made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Nikos Stavrou sent off a good shot on target. In the 51st minute, Thymios Antoniadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikos Stavrou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Güralp Uğurtan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Lipochσrion FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Nial Peyton scored to the left of an out of position Theagenis Giannou, making the score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Stavrou in the 64th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panagiotis Kaliasis in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theagenis Giannou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kolopetinitsa were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Lipochσrion FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Panagiotis Kaliasis took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Stavrou in the 88th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theagenis Theodorakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theagenis Giannou having to interfere. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Nial Peyton sped through Lipochσrion FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Theagenis Giannou.
