Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Odysseas Lazaroglou kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Grigoris Zacharas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Bâru in the 6th minute of play forced AEK KAVALAS FC's goalkeeper Grigoris Zacharas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoris Zacharas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iustin Bâru in the 9th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Iustin Bâru dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Grigoris Zacharas, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Bâru got free with Grigoris Zacharas in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Cássio Gonçalves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Grigoris Zacharas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Iustin Bâru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, AEK KAVALAS FC's Grigoris Zacharas got control of the ball when Iustin Bâru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iustin Bâru might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grigoris Zacharas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iustin Bâru ran back to his position shaking his head. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fotis Pegiadis in the 28th minute of play. AEK KAVALAS FC were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Go Ahead Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Giurcă took the corner. The corner led AEK KAVALAS FC's Emil Giurcă to fire away a dangerous shot which Scarafia Ghost despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 34th minute Fernando Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigoris Zacharas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Seabra in the 35th minute of the match. Grigoris Zacharas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Bâru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Seabra in the 39th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Dimosthenis Papachantzoulis put in a rough tackle. A collision led to AEK KAVALAS FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Dimosthenis Papachantzoulis hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Iustin Bâru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AEK KAVALAS FC's Grigoris Zacharas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Go Ahead Eagles were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after AEK KAVALAS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cássio Gonçalves took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Cássio Gonçalves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Grigoris Zacharas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the AEK KAVALAS FC defense, Iustin Bâru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigoris Zacharas. The AEK KAVALAS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigoris Zacharas should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 60th minute of play forced AEK KAVALAS FC's goalkeeper Grigoris Zacharas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoris Zacharas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Fernando Amorebieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution.
