Fotis Pegiadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AEK KAVALAS FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Makis Zikas scored to the left of an out of position Grigoris Zacharas, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 26 minutes, Odysseas Lazaroglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK KAVALAS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Odysseas Lazaroglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Odysseas Lazaroglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léo Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odysseas Lazaroglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Grigoris Zacharas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theofanis Mikros in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odysseas Lazaroglou in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Léo Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Odysseas Lazaroglou struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Léo Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK KAVALAS FC. In the 45th minute, Makis Zikas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Odysseas Lazaroglou made a kick off. AEK KAVALAS FC's Grigoris Zacharas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theofanis Mikros in the 51st minute of play. Grigoris Zacharas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Makis Zikas, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. AEK KAVALAS FC's Grigoris Zacharas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theofanis Mikros in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Fernandes in the 59th minute of play forced AEK KAVALAS FC's goalkeeper Grigoris Zacharas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoris Zacharas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Makis Zikas's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Odysseas Lazaroglou's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Léo Velloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the AEK KAVALAS FC defense, Theofanis Mikros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigoris Zacharas. The AEK KAVALAS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigoris Zacharas should have stopped the shot. A collision led to KAFSONAS F.C. getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Kleanthis Basinas hit a great ball. AEK KAVALAS FC made a substitution. Dimosthenis Papachantzoulis replaced Panos Kountouriotis. In the 73rd match minute, KAFSONAS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleanthis Basinas to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, AEK KAVALAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Fernandes came free, but Grigoris Zacharas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Renato Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigoris Zacharas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kleanthis Basinas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigoris Zacharas having to interfere. When Odysseas Lazaroglou came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the AEK KAVALAS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odysseas Lazaroglou couldn't finish the play. KAFSONAS F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
