Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Blomkvist in the 39th minute of the match. If Gabriele Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriele Batistuta to make the kick off. Camilo Salvidor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
