A collision led to Arrecifes getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Teofil Cebula hit a great ball. After 13 played minutes, MILLONARIOS FC's Rafael Jauregui shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arif Ozan Oğuztan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MILLONARIOS FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Modesto Gipuzkoa got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Rafael Jauregui came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the MILLONARIOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Jauregui couldn't finish the play. Arif Ozan Oğuztan made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Jozef Kloots sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Christoffer Blomqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. MILLONARIOS FC's Mon Ibaute managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raul Vigil in the 39 minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Raul Vigil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christoffer Blomqvists short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Arif Ozan Oğuztan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. MILLONARIOS FC were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Arrecifes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafael Jauregui took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Jozef Kloots drilling the ball in to score 2-1 behind Arrecifes's goalkeeper. In the 47th minute, one of MILLONARIOS FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MILLONARIOS FC. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Arrecifes. Cirilo Ritchie stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angelo Prior. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jozef Kloots in the 57th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Arif Ozan Oğuztan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arrecifes made a substitution. Hipolito Laurendi replaced Carlos Eufrasio. A collision led to MILLONARIOS FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jozef Kloots hit a great ball. Arrecifes's Raul Vigil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelo Prior in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 78 minutes MILLONARIOS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modesto Gipuzkoa who took care of the corner kick. In the 79th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Argina to maneuver through the defense. Arrecifes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Modesto Gipuzkoa in the 84th minute. After 86 played minutes Arrecifes got a freekick which was hit by Teofil Cebula. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Felipe Senon sped through MILLONARIOS FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelo Prior. When Felipe Senon came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Arrecifes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Senon couldn't finish the play. Arrecifes's Arif Ozan Oğuztan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jozef Kloots in the 97th minute of play. Felipe Senon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Prior having to make a save. Felipe Senon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Angelo Prior made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arrecifes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
