Golden Lions FC's Bebben Johansson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Holger Vester in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Söderberg in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Söderberg came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loco Durazno. Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Haegg in the 16th minute of play. Hammarby IF:s Holger Vester showed great skill when he stopped Bebben Johansson:s penalty. Holger Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebben Johansson in the 29th minute of the match. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Totti, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Dominguez in the 47th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Celedonio Dominguez made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Loco Durazno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Lions FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Hammarby IF's Kaj Björklund got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Loco Durazno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Holger Vester was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Golden Lions FC had won after a very even match.
